Who We Are
At the Adrie Fay Foundation, everything starts with love, faith, and a desire to serve. Our team is made up of people who believe that kindness can change lives, especially for seniors who need comfort, connection, and care.
Built on Faith and Family
The foundation was started by Craig and Travis Schelling, a husband and wife who share a heart for helping others. Their story began at home, as they cared for family members facing the challenges of aging and dementia. During that time, they saw how important it is for seniors to feel seen, valued, and supported. They also saw how many people go without the help they need.
What began as a personal mission of love grew into something larger: a faith-driven foundation that serves seniors and families in need of care and companionship. For Craig and Travis, this work is not about running an organization. It is about honoring God by loving others and living out the values that shaped their family from the beginning.
Craig Schelling: A Steady Heart for Service
Craig has always been someone people can count on. His compassion is quiet but strong, and his life has been guided by the belief that faith should always be put into action. When he saw how many seniors felt alone or forgotten, he knew he wanted to do something about it.
Craig spends his time leading programs, organizing outreach, and connecting with people in the community who share the same purpose. He is often the first to arrive and the last to leave. What matters most to him is knowing that each person the foundation touches feels cared for and respected. Craig’s heart for service reminds everyone involved that true leadership begins with humility and love.
Travis Schelling: Carrying the Vision Forward
Travis, the daughter of Ardie Fay, wants to honor her mother’s life through the foundation. As a Physician Assistant in the community her caring for others gives her a unique perspective of the difficulties seniors endure in a small town.
Travis brings a sense of hope and new energy to the foundation. She grew up seeing her family care for others and knew early on that she wanted to continue that work. Travis believes that helping seniors is not just about meeting physical needs. It is also about bringing joy, purpose, and connection back into their lives.
She works closely with volunteers and community partners to build relationships that make a real difference. Her passion for people and her faith in what this foundation can become help drive the mission forward every day. Travis’s leadership is rooted in the same values her parents taught her: love others deeply and serve with an open heart.
Faith as the Foundation
Every part of the Adrie Fay Foundation is shaped by faith. The team believes God calls each of us to care for one another and to serve with compassion. That belief is what guides every visit, every conversation, and every prayer shared with the seniors they help.
Craig and Travis often remind their volunteers that God’s love is personal. Each act of kindness, no matter how small, can lift a spirit or change a day. Their goal is not just to provide services, but to build lasting relationships grounded in love and faith.
Looking Ahead with Hope
The future of the Adrie Fay Foundation is filled with possibility. Craig and Travis dream of expanding their programs, reaching more families, and creating a senior community within a small town. They envision a community with comprehensive senior services, from senior meals and independent living to assisted living, memory care, and senior daycare. They know there is so much more to be done, but they trust that God will open the right doors at the right time.
What keeps them going is the belief that every senior deserves dignity, comfort, and the assurance that they are not alone. The foundation exists to bring those promises to life, one person at a time.
